This isn't just Lacan. Lacan was a psycho. I've always attributed Judas this role. Godspell anyone? Recall in fact, Jesus Christ Superstar the rock-opera and Judas' portrayal.
I don't like sharing camp with Zizek or Lacan, but the fidelity-betrayal connection is extremely interesting.
